Jay-Paul Jones has become a recognised name in the UK’s emerging cannabis reform space — not for selling products, but for reshaping what legal, responsible cannabis culture can look like under UK law.

In August 2023, Jay-Paul launched Haze Labs in Wales, one of the UK’s first legally compliant cannabis lounges/clubs built around education, harm reduction, patient advocacy, and community — not retail. At a time when much of the conversation around cannabis in the UK remains misunderstood or overly politicised, Haze Labs introduced something different: a health-led, people-first space operating within the law.

Not a “Weed Shop” — A Community Hub

Haze Labs was never designed to function as a traditional cannabis dispensary or retail outlet. Instead, it operates as a private members’ space, supporting:

  • Legally prescribed medical cannabis patients

  • Individuals exploring legal access pathways

  • People seeking education and stigma-free conversations

  • Those in need of a safe, supportive environment

By focusing on information, peer support, and advocacy, Jay-Paul deliberately moved away from the retail-driven model seen abroad, recognising that UK law demands a different, more thoughtful approach.

This model allows patients and members to feel seen, respected, and supported — while staying firmly within the boundaries of existing legislation.

Challenging Stigma Through Visibility

One of Jay-Paul’s most impactful contributions has been normalising legal medical cannabis through visibility, dialogue, and engagement with local communities, authorities, and healthcare conversations.

Haze Labs has become a place where:

  • Patients feel safe discussing treatment without fear

  • Non-patients can learn without judgement

  • Stigma is challenged through education, not confrontation

By creating an open yet responsible environment, Jay-Paul has shown that cannabis-related spaces don’t need to exist in secrecy or opposition — they can operate transparently and collaboratively.

A Platform for Advocacy, Not Just Access

Beyond the walls of Haze Labs, Jay-Paul continues to push for better patient protection, clearer public understanding, and more inclusive dialogue around cannabis in the UK.

His work increasingly intersects with:

  • Medical cannabis clinics

  • Patient advocacy groups

  • Community safety initiatives

  • Harm-reduction education

  • Law-abiding cannabis professionals across the UK and Europe

The aim is simple but ambitious: move the UK conversation from fear and stigma to evidence, compassion, and patient-led policy.

What Comes Next

Jay-Paul Jones isn’t positioning Haze Labs as a one-off experiment — but as proof of concept.

Proof that:

  • Legal cannabis spaces can exist responsibly in the UK

  • Patients deserve community, not isolation

  • Education is the strongest form of harm reduction

  • Collaboration beats confrontation

As conversations around cannabis reform, medical access, and community health continue to evolve, Jay-Paul remains vocal about the need for clearer frameworks, better patient protections, and spaces that prioritise wellbeing over profit.

Haze Labs is just the beginning — a foundation for what legal, ethical cannabis culture in the UK could become.
